The training which we offer to employers and workers has to deliver both professional quality and social value.
For this reason, all training plans are tailored to the specific needs of the employer, with previously agreed objectives and durations, and based on an evaluation of the pre-existing competencies of the workers who undertake this qualifying path.
Our training :basic, vocational, on-the-job and continuing
Obiettivo Lavoro in figures, for 2009:
- 1,762 training courses
- 7,343 workers trained
- 116,167 course hours
- Identifying and deploying replicable "best practices"
- Consistency of training standards
- Responding to growth of specialisation areas
- Boosting and qualifying all training activities related to occupational safety.
- Offering initiatives devoted to foreign workers.
In our country, initiatives for the professional development of human capital involved just 2.8% of workers in 2009.
Obiettivo Lavoro's commitment to training has gone some way toward bridging this gap.
In fact, training played a part in a significant share of work placements, with 21.2% of workers supported and qualified by a training initiative.
For safety, for foreign workers
The importance of "Health and Safety" topics is frequently underscored by the recurrence of serious occupational accidents.
Health and safety instruction is included in both vocational and on-the-job training plans (4 hours for each course).
By these routes, in 2009:
- A total of 4,900 workers took part in training plans.
- A total of 1, 088 hours were delivered through vocational training
- A total of 4, 416 hours were delivered through on-the-job training
- In conjunction with building trade schools, 3040 hours of training were provided on safety in the construction sector, coinciding with 760 job placements.
In 2009, 25.8% of workers from foreign countries took part in training initiatives.
